Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Physical Therapist License in State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides during treatment.
• Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems and involves the patient.
• Plans and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain or restore function.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard PT techniques and equipment.
• Directs and supervises staff; assesses competence and delegates tasks.
• Administers treatment with physical agents and modalities.
• Evaluates and adjusts prosthetic/orthotic devices as needed.
• Documents goals, progress, and reevaluation plans.
