Job summary

Vernon Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver inpatient rehabilitation at our critical access hospital, with outpatient coverage in our rural health clinic. This position offers the opportunity to practice with a dynamic, collaborative team and to utilize full scope of physical therapy skills in evaluation, treatment planning, and decision-making.

Hours are 7am–5pm with compensation starting at $41.50/hour and increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Hours 7am–5pm with inpatient/outpatient coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish patient-centered goals.
• Deliver interventions including exercise prescription, gait training and balance training.
• Interpret and implement physician orders; document progress.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and equipment use.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote recovery and functional independence.
• Monitor patient response and adjust plans for safety and effectiveness.
