Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support inpatient care, focusing on acute care and inpatient rehab under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

You will educate patients, document progress, and participate in developing individualized therapy programs, with opportunities to teach and mentor students in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role involves 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with one weekend day per month.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or PTA certificate required.
• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association–accredited PTA program.
• State licensure as PTA and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient-centered PT under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Observe, document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Plan, organize and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patient/family.
• Provide education on PT topics to patients, families, caregivers, staff and community.
• Act as a clinical instructor or participate in education/evaluation of students.
• Serve as a resource for volunteers and observers.
