Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of formal phlebotomy training program or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience in a fast paced environment preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collects specimens from patients with urgency; communicates with nursing and lab staff.
• Gathers blood specimens following proper identification and collection protocols.
• Maintains a clean phlebotomy cart and stock room; proper disposal of PHI, trash, and sharps.
