Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens following proper patient identification protocols and established blood collection procedures.
• Works with nursing, laboratory staff and leadership to ensure timely specimen collection and reporting.
• May perform pre-analytic processing like centrifuging or aliquoting samples as needed.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance or safety checks as assigned.
• Maintains phlebotomy cart and stock room areas clean and organized.
