Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant or Phlebotomy program or equivalent required.
• Two year college degree in biological science or health related field, preferred.
• Current cert: AMT, ASCP, NCPT, or NCCT; see cert requirement.
• Heart Saver (HS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using proper phlebotomy technique.
• Document and submit specimens to the laboratory.
• Rotate to outpatient labs as needed.
• Handle specimen reception, client offices, or satellite labs as required.
• Maintain equipment and clean work area; follow all safety policies.
