The technician will work under direct supervision, maintain inventory, and participate in quality improvement projects while ensuring accurate medication preparation.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• CPhT certification from State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Works under direct supervision of the pharmacist on duty.
• Prepares medications and properly displays product for pharmacist to verify and dispense.
• Understands technician role vs pharmacist role and adheres to regulations established by the State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing.
• Sort, stocks and labels medications and monitors inventory.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Participates in departmental quality improvement projects and training of technicians.
