Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient to join the team at Evanston Hospital. This per diem role supports the pharmacy team by preparing, filling and dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, and assisting with labeling and dosing.

Illinois-registered technicians with a high school diploma are required, with CPhT preferred and certification within 2 years. Prior hospital experience is desirable; retail exposure may be needed for certain locations.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois license as Registered Pharmacy Technician is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPhT preferred; must become certified within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience may be needed for retail positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications.
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses.
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified within 2 years
