Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy team. You will process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, prepare medicines, and assist with patient questions while ensuring accurate records and efficient service.

This full-time 36-hour rotating-shift position offers cash handling duties, inventory management, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CT Pharmacy Technician registration (CT) required.
• Previous experience strongly preferred.
• National PTCB certification as Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Prepare medications and assist supervising pharmacist.
• Assist with patient questions and service.
• Maintain records related to drug use and charges.
• Input, retrieve, and analyze data in the pharmacy system.
