Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Prepare, dispense, and supervise preparation of all medications and IVs for patient use in the hospital.
• Advise health care professionals on drug interactions, side effects, and proper administration of medications.
• Supervise non-pharmacist personnel by assigning duties, checking orders, and overseeing IVs and technician-made medications.
• Assess need for non-formulary items and coordinate substitutions with prescribing physicians.
• Verify orders for proper dose, allergies, interactions, adverse reactions and monitor lab data before dispensing.
• Maintain narcotic inventories and perform routine inventory checks.
