The role involves preparing medications under supervision, maintaining accurate patient profiles, and delivering meds to units with strict adherence to USP standards and regulatory rules. Prior pharmacy exposure and certification timelines are favored for this position.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required; pharmacy experience preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician within 1 year if not already certified.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail essential.
• Knowledge of inventory management and sterile compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain crash carts with required items.
• Manage patient profiles and medication lists.
• Ensure proper drug storage and security.
• Answer phones and respond to requests.
• Prepack medications and fill orders.
• Prepare IV admixtures and maintain sterile environment.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and ORs.
• Handle inventory and receive supplies; monitor expirations.
• Comply with USP standards and regulatory requirements.
