Job summary

METROHEALTH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient settings. Under a Pharmacist's supervision, you will assist with medication delivery, take-home services, and quality control for distribution technologies.

Preferred candidates have HS Diploma, Ohio board registration or eligible certification (PTCB/ExCPT) and at least 6 months inpatient or 1 year retail/home care experience, with strong communication skills and cultural competence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions.
• Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from PTCB or certification within 90 days of hire; maintains certification.
• Possess ExCPT Certification from NHA.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs duties in pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Delivers medication-related services to in-house patients and related take-home medication services.
• Assists Pharmacists in quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
