Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in the University Hospital Inpatient Department. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with medication preparation, packaging, distribution, and record-keeping.

This is a temporary fixed-term role, 10 scheduled hours on the second shift. Requires registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy through an approved program and a minimum age of 17.

Qualifications

• Registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician Trainee through an Ohio Public High School Approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Must be at least 17 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in packaging, preparation and distribution of medications.
• Maintain inventory and ensure medications are in date and properly stored.
• Keep accurate pharmacy records and provide customer service to patients and staff.
