Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Training to join the team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in approved technician training program or Guild Program certification/licensure.
• Certification as a technician-in-training within 30 days of hire in the state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Fill and deliver medications under supervision; ensure adequate supplies for patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions outside the technician scope.
• Use systems for processing patient information and ensure quality assurance per policy.
