Job summary

Children’s Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under the direction of a licensed pharmacist. You will perform a variety of technical tasks, ensuring accurate preparation of medications and adherence to hospital procedures.

Role requires Colorado PHAT certification and NABP/NHA approved credentials, with a 40-hour work week and rotating day/evening shifts. Responsibilities include inventory control, data entry in pharmacy software, and collaboration with care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Colorado PHAT Certification required.
• Certification through NABP/PTCB or NHA is required or approved.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares medication for dispensing and patient administration per hospital policy.
• Assist with safety and quality improvement projects and accreditation activities.
• May assist with shipping medications, monthly clinical assessments and ordering medications.
• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and staff including benefit investigations and insurance coordination.
• Manage inventory, restock medications and perform unit inspections.
• Prepare medications for dispensing using pharmacy software and verify lot and expiration numbers.

Education
