Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an inpatient pharmacy technician/intern at Royal Oak Hospital. You will support preparation, storage, distribution, and dispensing of prescriptions, with rotation through IV admixture and unit dose services. May rotate to OR and outpatient services as needed.

Responsibilities include data entry, stocking, and maintaining a safe work area while adhering to 797 guidelines. MI licenses required or eligible upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sterile compounding or 6 months technician experience or ASHP accredited program preferred.
• MI state licenses needed or eligible upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions.
• Rotate through IV admixture and unit dose service; possible OR/Outpatient rotation.
• Data entry and record keeping for medications and IV admixtures.
• Distribute medications to patient care areas and departments; assist with floor stock.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 797 guidelines.
