Job summary

Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, Wisconsin is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I for inpatient operations. The role is part-time (0.6 FTE) with daytime weekday shifts and every third weekend, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager. You will assist in medication prep, distribution, and inventory, under licensed pharmacist supervision.

Entry-level position offering hands-on experience, with growth opportunities and focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Wisconsin youth apprenticeship option available and must be at least 16.
• Customer service experience required.
• Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred; comfortable with technology; MS Word/Excel proficiency.
• Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration must be applied for before first day and obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital pharmacy operations under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist in preparation, distribution and delivery of medications; maintain inventory.
• Complete clerical tasks and use patient record systems to ensure accuracy and safety.
