Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our Chicago-area team. Under the supervision of pharmacists and managers, you will prepare and distribute medications, manage inventory, and interact with patient records while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred
• 1-2 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Student enrolled in a college of Pharmacy preferred
• Experience in a customer service pharmacy environment or related field preferred
• Current IL licensure as a Pharmacy Tech
• CPhT certification validated by PTCB or ExCPT validated by NHA required for technicians licensed after 31 December 2007

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Pharmacy Technician Manager and/or Pharmacy Unit Manager, perform technician duties in preparation and distribution of medications, drug inventory and patient record interaction.
• Provide courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors, and staff; duties may vary by area or shift.
• Complete and maintain required annual technician competencies.
