Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician III to support inpatient medication therapy. The role involves cross-coverage across technician tasks, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and inventory management in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have IV preparation experience and pharmacy technician certification. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with every 4th weekend and holiday rotation.

• Detail-oriented, patient-focused Pharmacy Technician III.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, including workflow management, basic preparation and dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Supports inventory activities including storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Assumes primary responsibility for a task or area, including training, system maintenance, inventory management, workflow, and process improvement.
• Pursues proficiency in the preparation of complex sterile compounds and seeks additional responsibilities.
• Performs multiple technician responsibilities across the pharmacy or focuses on a specialty area, including training and system maintenance.
