Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1 to support medication preparation, IV compounding, Pyxis replenishment, and daily pharmacist operations in a hospital setting.

The entry‑level role works under supervision to learn non-sterile and sterile compounding, maintain documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to safe, high-quality patient care. Shift patterns include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• State Board Pharmacy Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, including workflow management, basic preparation and dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports inventory activities including storage, ordering, rotating, and cleanliness.
