Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, distribution, compounding and inventory management on-site. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, perform unit-dose packaging, sterile and hazardous compounding, prepare IV medications, and ensure USP 795/797/800 training compliance.

This full-time position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus (taxable), weekend/holiday rotation, and opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern status.
• National certification must be obtained within 12 months if not already certified.
• Ability to handle sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous drugs per USP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication retrieval, processing and distribution.
• Pull, label, package, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.
• Perform unit-dose packaging and batch filling.
• Sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding as required.
• Prepare IV medications including chemotherapy.
• Maintain compliance with USP 795/797/800 and regulatory standards.
