Henry Ford Health is seeking an inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support the preparation and dispensing of medications across patient care areas. You will enter orders, prepare medications, and maintain inventory under supervision of a pharmacist in a busy hospital environment.

The role requires a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license, a high school diploma or GED, and good computer and communication skills to work effectively with clinicians and patients in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Michigan.
• 6 months pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be able to type approximately 25 words per minute.
• Must be able to work with wide variety of people under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Picks up medication orders and delivers medications to patient care areas.
• Interprets and enters medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Determines quantities needed to fill prescriptions and prepares medications for dispensing.
• Aseptically compounds and labels intravenous solutions.
• Maintains accurate admission, discharge, and transfer information.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and HFH staff.
