Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City seeks a Senior Director of Acute Care Pharmacy to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for inpatient pharmacy services across six hospital operations, overseeing more than 1,000 beds.

The role partners with Pharmacy Directors and senior leaders to standardize practices, optimize resources, advance innovation, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of safety, quality outcomes, and workforce engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Doctorate in Pharmacy, Health Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create short- and long-term pharmacy strategy for inpatient services.
• Lead six hospital operations and oversee 1,000+ beds in the system.
• Standardize practices, optimize resources, and drive innovation.
• Oversee financial operations, contracting, and pricing updates.
• Develop talent, succession planning, and leadership growth.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety across the system.
