Job summary

John Muir Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor to lead operations in the Walnut Creek campus. You will supervise pharmacists and technicians, coordinate daily workflows, and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards on an assigned shift.

The role requires a Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy, California RPH licensure, and 5+ years in acute care pharmacy, with supervisory experience preferred. Epic EHR and USP 797/800 experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Pharmacy (ACPE accredited).
• 5+ years experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy.
• Epic EHR experience preferred.
• USP 797/800 sterile compounding oversight preferred.
• 1 year supervisory/lead experience preferred; leadership or committee work may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline leadership and operational oversight for inpatient pharmacy services during assigned shift.
• Coordinate daily workflow and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Support quality and medication-safety initiatives and comply with state/federal laws and USP standards.
• Serve as liaison between staff and pharmacy department leadership.
