The pharmacist will ensure safe, effective drug therapy, counsel patients, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize care in a hospital/clinic setting.

Qualificações

• Pharm.D. degree and licensure as a registered pharmacist.
• Unrestricted pharmacist license in any state; Alaska license may be required.
• CPR/BLS certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire).
• Residency in pharmacy preferred by employer.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews prescriptions for therapy appropriateness, legality, interactions, and allergies; consults prescriber as needed.
• Enters prescriptions into pharmacy software and verifies orders accurately and timely.
• Counsels patients on medications, indications, dosage, and expected outcomes to ensure understanding.
• Directs pharmacy technicians and supports staff; assures timely, accurate medication distribution.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and formulary management within the department.
• Provides health promotion and disease prevention activities related to drug therapy.
