Job summary

MLR is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacist to join our client's inpatient hospital team near Continental Divide, New Mexico. The role involves dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions, and ensuring safe distribution in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, provide medication therapy management, and maintain accurate patient records and insurance claims. A PharmD or RPh and NM licensure are required, with inpatient hospital experience

Qualifications

• Accredited Pharmacy program completed (PharmD or RPh).
• Active New Mexico Pharmacist license required.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications while providing expert guidance on their appropriate usage.
• Full-time, direct-hire position within an inpatient hospital environment.
• Accurately review and interpret physician prescriptions, ensuring safe medication distribution.
• Offer medication therapy management, educate patients on potential drug interactions, side effects, and correct medication use.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Keep detailed records of dispensed medications, patient profiles, and insurance claims.
