Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, is seeking a pharmacist to join the inpatient pharmacy team. You will review orders, intervene on therapy, dispense medications, counsel patients, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure safe, effective medication therapy.

The role supports pediatric to ICU settings, with a decentralized model and emphasis on clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, education verified.
License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug interactions.
Makes appropriate evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use.
Provides counseling to patients and promotes medication education and adherence.
Ensures medications are prepared, delivered timely, stored securely and appropriately for stability and workflow.
Supervises and directs activities of interns, technicians, and support personnel.
