Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Texas in good standing.
• IV certification or ability to obtain.
• In-patient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Computer literacy to operate pharmacy systems.
• Clear communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and on-call rotations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders for medications using pharmacy information system.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant operations.
• Adjusts dosages per established protocols considering patient meds.
• Educates patients on proper use and expected effects of medications.
• Manages narcotics and inventory control, including audits.
• Communicates with nurses and physicians to verify orders.
• Assists Pharmacy Director with accreditation and system changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
