Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a full-time, rotating shift. The role ensures safe, effective, and prompt pharmacy services within the medication-use system and includes comprehensive patient counseling.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred) and Virginia Pharmacist License. Inpatient hospital experience and PGY1/PGY2 residency are preferred. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctorate level degree in Pharmacy preferred.
• Virginia Pharmacist License required.
• Residency PGY1/PGY2 trained preferred.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates ability to work in areas of pharmacy practice competently and independently.
• Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with applicable clinical practice standards.
• Assures the appropriateness of all provider medication orders in maintaining patient care and safety.
• Provides in-depth patient counseling when required.
• Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
• Maintains quality assurance per departmental and legal requirements.
• Triages and escalates questions or issues outside scope of practice as needed.
