Phoenix Children’s is seeking a full-time Inpatient Pediatric Psychiatrist to join the Division of Psychiatry in caring for newborns, children, and adolescents in the inpatient unit. The role features a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, with ample opportunities for clinical excellence and academic collaboration.

Candidates should have an MD/DO, board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, completed residency and fellowship, and a valid state license; the position offers

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a psychiatry residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligibility to become certified).
• Valid state medical license to practice psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of pediatric inpatients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Provide crisis intervention for acute episodes and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and participate in case reviews.
• Educate families about diagnosis and treatment plan and offer guidance for recovery.
• Provide mentorship or supervision to fellows, residents, and medical students.
