Responsibilities

• Dispenses inpatient medications pursuant to prescriber orders, ensuring appropriateness based on patient age, weight, conditions, allergies and history.
• Provides medication information to health care practitioners, caregivers, or patients, including dosing and selection.
• Supports codes and Level I traumas with pharmaceutical care and timely medication delivery.
• Documents clinical, operational, and financial outcomes in the medical record.
• Maintains accurate discharge medication-related communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Precepts and supervises pharmacy residents, students, interns, technicians, or graduates awaiting licensure.
