Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem seeks a Pediatric hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist for inpatient care. This full-time role (40 hours per week) involves managing therapy, educating patients, and collaborating with the care team.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 0800-1630 with weekend and on-call rotation, with on-call ~2 weeks/year and ~6 weekend rotations/year. Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state(s) of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification as required by practice area.
• Credentialing and privileging required by practice area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and designs medication therapy regimens based on biomedical literature.
• Educates patients and caregivers on medications, adverse effects, and proper use.
• Reviews medication orders and participates in medical emergencies and safety/quality initiatives.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure formulary adherence and proper medication-use processes.
