Job summary

Sanford is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN/LPN supervision. The role involves recording vitals, basic treatments, and support for daily activities in a patient-care unit.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), knowledge of healthcare basics, and CNA experience preferred. ND/WI registry requirements apply where applicable. Sign-on bonus available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry within four months from date of hire.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with 16 hours of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Administer basic health care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• Prepare patient treatment areas and dispose of biomedical waste.
• Provide one-on-one care when necessary for patient safety.
