Position Overview

Penn Medicine is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) Palliative Care Physician to join our Inpatient Palliative Care Team at Pennsylvania Hospital. The majority of the physician's time will be dedicated to working with the Palliative Care team at CCH, with a smaller portion spent rounding on hospice patients.

The physician will join an established interdisciplinary team comprising physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and chaplains. This role is focused entirely on inpatient Palliative Care. The ideal candidate is an experienced physician comfortable practicing independently and within a small team. The work schedule is Monday-Friday dayshift, every other week, with no call or weekend/holiday responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Possession or ability to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Hospice and Palliative physician is desirable
