Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Inpatient Palliative Care team within Supportive Care Medicine. You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients across a wide spectrum of conditions.

The ideal candidate has a Florida license, ARNP or PA program graduate, oncology or internal medicine experience preferred, and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care in a teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain) and certification by the appropriate accrediting body.
• Active BLS.
• Experience in oncology or internal medicine; experience in the specialty preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating and optimizing patient care.
• Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
• Formulates treatment plans for conditions within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within scope of practice.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
