Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our inpatient care team. This PRN role supports days with Saturday coverage as needed, providing patient-centered evaluations and treatments in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required
• 2 years inpatient/acute care experience preferred
• OT license in Texas upon hire required
• BCLS certification prior to independent patient care required
• Good English communication, problem solving, teaching, time management, interpersonal and customer service skills, basic leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and establish a plan of care
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate assessment and individualized care
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate treatment and individualized care
• Motivate patients to participate in therapy
• Utilize resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Participate in departmental safety drills and emergency procedures
• Document and report unusual occurrences, on-the-job injuries, and medical device issues
