Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an inpatient Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and design therapy plans based on physician orders. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to guide patients to optimal post-acute or home care and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and an active OT license in the state of practice, with BLS preferred. Ability to travel between facilities is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and provides inpatient occupational therapy treatment programs based on physician orders.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to determine appropriate post-acute or home care options.
• Maintains patient records in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensures treatment protocols support hospital quality and patient safety goals.
• Adapts approach to diverse patient populations and communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
