Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking an Occupational Therapist for day shifts in Beaumont, TX. This clinical role involves providing skilled interventions in inpatient rehab as part of an interdisciplinary team, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of OT.
• 3–5 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manages scheduling of own patient load and other tasks to promote smooth workflow and effective patient care.
• Evaluates assigned patients, gathering data from patient records, interviews, observation, and team members; develops treatment plans with goals; re-evaluates and modifies plan as needed.
• Practices safety measures to prevent injury to self, patients, and others; ensures compliance with safety precautions.
• Communicates problems/concerns to appropriate personnel; maintains professional conduct in the department.
• Reviews patient progress with physicians and the care team; recommends alterations to treatment plan when advantageous.
