Job summary

Exalt Health Inpatient Rehab Hospital Wildwood is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide comprehensive OT services under the supervision of an OT in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

The role focuses on helping patients regain independence in ADLs and returning to prior levels of function, with emphasis on evidence-based rehab practices and teamwork with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current OTA license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• 2 years inpatient rehabilitation experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary team.
• Proficient in medical record documentation and patient progress notes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation of patients' functional abilities and implement treatment plans to improve ADLs and independence.
• Educate patients and families on adaptive equipment, home modifications, and strategies for managing conditions.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, OTs, physicians, nurses, and other team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rehab practices and participate in continuing education.
