Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment. The OT will plan, organize, develop, administer, and supervise treatment in compliance with standards while promoting patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, interdisciplinary discharge planning, documentation, supervising OT staff and students, and coordinating with families. Travel and housing allowances may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• Previous inpatient acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' level of functioning and implement care plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation according to department policy.
• Supervise OT assistants and students in therapy techniques.
• Maintain communication with patients and families.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality care and document training.
• Manage equipment issues and document training/use with patients and families.
