Inpatient Orthopedic Care RN Specialist (Hiring Immediately)

Unit Description

As an RN in our fast-paced, 32-bed post-operative unit, you will care for a mixed population of orthopedic patients. Our team is a collaborative mix of RNs, LNAs, Unit Secretaries, Nursing students, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Quality partners, Medical Students, Residents, and Attendings who work together to provide Miller 6 patients with the highest quality care. We have state-of-the-art rooms with beautiful views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain. Every room is equipped with a ceiling lift, ample space for families, and room for physical therapy. We primarily treat post-surgical patients including trauma, total hip & knee replacements, hip fractures, and spine patients. Nurses are encouraged to grow professionally through Orthopedic-specific certifications. Our nurses also have the opportunity to advance through the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).

On-call: Not required.

Incentives: Day shift differential $3.50 (weekends). Evening shift differentials $2.50 (weekdays) & $6.00 (weekends). Night shift differentials $6.00 (weekdays) & $9.50 (weekends).
