Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care per VA standards.
• Graduate from an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE) at time of graduation.
• State licensure as a registered nurse; temporary appointment possible during bridge program.
• foreign nursing grads must have current, unrestricted RN registration.
• Two years acute care experience preferred; telemetry and oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients.
• Administer medications using BCMA and document in CPRS.
• Supervise and guide licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants as applicable.
• Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain safe, dignified environments and advocate for patient needs.
