Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Beaumont in Las Vegas, NV welcomes a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will provide hands-on therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and help patients while building clinical skills in a hospital setting.

You will deliver individualized treatment plans, support daily activities, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with nurses and therapists

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current OTA license in the state where the hospital is located.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT.
• Assist patients in developing skills for daily activities and independence.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other team members.
• Educate and encourage patients and families throughout rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
• Remain flexible and responsive to hospital and patient needs.
