Qualifications

• Graduate OTA with active license and BLS certification.
• Inpatient hospital experience preferred; strong motivation to learn encouraged.
• Collaborative, documentation-oriented and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Implement therapeutic activities to improve function and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the OT.
• Assist patients with daily activities and rehab goals.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and other care team members.
• Educate patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Follow clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Remain flexible to patient and hospital needs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

OTA license in the state

BLS certification
