Job summary

Murfreesboro Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a PRN schedule in our inpatient unit. The role focuses on neuro and orthopedic rehabilitation, with patients referred from surrounding hospitals.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing plans, educating families, and documenting progress to support recovery and billing. A Master's in OT and active clinical engagement are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• One or more years' experience with population of the facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Help patients develop, recover and improve the skills needed for daily living.
• Review patient medical history, observe tasks, and evaluate condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities to reach them.
• Educate patients' families and employers on accommodations and equipment.
• Assess and record patient progress for evaluations and billing.
• Work with children or individuals with disabilities as needed.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, professional attitude and prioritize patient safety.
