Job summary

Harborview Medical Center – Rehab Therapies seeks an Occupational Therapist 1 for inpatient care. You will assess, plan, administer, and evaluate therapy for an inpatient caseload, educating patients and families and coordinating with the treatment team.

The role emphasizes sensorimotor, ADLs, cognition, and therapeutic adaptations, using exercises, manual therapy, splinting, and evidence-based interventions. Per diem day shift, UW Medicine affiliation, and a mission to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program and successful NBCOT examination.
• Active Washington State OT license or eligible to practice.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where legally permissible.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe occupational therapy.
• Collaborate with treatment team to coordinate continuity of patient care.
• Implement treatment programs addressing sensorimotor deficits, ADLs, cognition, and therapeutic adaptations.
• Provide home programs and education to patients and families.
