Job summary

Harborview Medical Center - Rehab Therapies seeks an Occupational Therapist 1 for the Acute Care setting on a per diem Day Shift. The OT1 will assess, plan, administer and evaluate therapy, addressing sensorimotor deficits, activities of daily living, cognition and adaptations within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program, NBCOT certification, and an active Washington State OT license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited OT program and successful completion of the NBCOT examination.
• Active Washington State OT license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of disease processes and respective medical treatments.
• Provide skilled, timely and effective patient care.
• Follow protocols and guidelines of care for diagnosed conditions on the service.
• Plan treatment programs with patient and treatment team.
• Document intervention and treatment plans with measurable criteria and home programs.
• Participate in rounds and educate patient and support systems prior to termination of therapy.
• Provide home programs and education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize continuity of care.
• Follow billing and reimbursement procedures.
• Comply with standards, protocols and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance related to patient care.
• Integrate safety policies into daily practice.
• Propose equipment needs with justification.
