Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) in Indianapolis is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) to provide OT services for inpatients and outpatients aged 15 and older, including evaluations, treatment planning, equipment recommendations, and modality application under physician referral. The role focuses on evidence-based interventions, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with a Monday–Friday schedule 7 a.m.

to 4 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Must be registered/certified by National Board for Certification of OTs.
• Occupational Therapist IN state license required.
• Current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or ability to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Administers OT evaluations to inpatients and/or outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
• Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function.
• Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
• Responsible for ensuring the treatment plan is revised/updated appropriately per policy, communicated to appropriate team members including attendance at team conferences, and reviewed and signed off by referring physician (as appropriate).
• Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity.
