Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma, seeks an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for day shift with weekend coverage. This full-time role encompasses comprehensive evaluations, plan of care development, and collaboration with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.

The incumbent will supervise OT assistants, participate in clinical instruction when needed, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely while addressing age-specific and cultural needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license OR be eligible for license in the state of Oklahoma and able to practice under the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Practice Act. Must have completed licensure by 3 months after initial temporary license is issued.
• Current BLS or CPR certification upon hire or completion within 30 days of hire required.
• Previous relevant experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Responsibilities

• Interprets referrals; examines, evaluates, and develops and modifies occupational therapy plan of care including anticipated goals and expected outcomes for patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other clinical team members ensuring optimal patient care and communication as noted in the clinical record.
• Directs Occupational Therapy Assistants to perform specific components of treatment and interventions and remains responsible for the episode of patient care.
• May act as clinical instructor and/or assist with orientation of new employees or volunteers.
• Provides and modifies skilled interventions through therapeutic procedures and techniques to produce changes in the condition.
• Initiates promptly the appropriate corrective action(s) when abnormal condition or response is noted.
• Written reports are concise, legible and accurate and done in a timely manner.
• Assesses, interprets and provides care/service in a safe environment according to age-specific and cultural needs.
