Job summary

MemorialCare's Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy-IP department on a per diem, days (8hr) schedule. The OT will provide modalities and procedures per department guidelines, assess patients, and develop care plans for Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.

Documentation in the clinical map is required, and collaboration with the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of inpatient occupational therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides input to improve department operations, equipment and supply needs.
• Demonstrates a positive influence and recognizes the efforts of others.
• Demonstrate the ability to assess patients, develop an appropriate care plan.
• Performs patient/family education and documents in the clinical map.
• Reviews the medical chart and assess patient’s medical status prior to initiation.
• Able to appropriately choose and instruct patients in adaptive equipment.
• Produces documentation to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy.
• Be at work and be on time.
• Follow company policies, procedures and directives.
• Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
• Prioritize and multitask.
